Language capabilities of your AI and potential for the global market
One of the most powerful features of the BuddyPro platform is its native multilingual capability. This unlocks enormous potential for reaching clients around the world—even if your original know-how was created only in Spanish or another single language.
29.1 How Does Your AI Expert Handle Multiple Languages?
Your AI Expert built on the BuddyPro platform is designed to flexibly work with a wide range of languages—both in terms of processing your input know-how and interacting with your end users.
Know-how in any language or a combination of languages
The materials you upload to the sources folder on your Google Drive (text documents, audio/video transcripts, external URLs) can be in any major global language.
You can even mix content in multiple languages—for example, Spanish, English, German, French, Italian, or others. The AI is capable of understanding and processing multilingual sources seamlessly.

Fluent communication with users in dozens of languages
Your AI Expert can converse with users in virtually any language, including but not limited to:
- English
- Spanish
- German
- French
- Italian
- ... and many more (e.g. Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Czech, Swedish, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, etc.)
The AI will automatically detect and adjust to the language used by the user:
- During the first interaction, it will usually pick the language set in the user's Telegram app.
- Then, throughout the conversation, it will dynamically continue in whatever language the user types in.
Users can switch languages at any time by simply asking, e.g.:
- "Please speak to me in German."
- "¿Puedes hablar conmigo en español?"
- "Parlez-moi en français, s'il te plaît."
The AI will immediately respond in the new language.
Voice Options – Teach Your Buddy to Speak with Your Own Voice
Now you can teach your Buddy to speak with your own voice.
Generating audio messages with your own voice is approximately 2x more expensive than generating audio messages using standard voices. We estimate this will increase your Buddy's overall costs by about 10–20% (since not all users always use audio messages).

29.2 Strategy for Successful International Expansion with Your AI Expert
Thanks to BuddyPro's built-in multilingual support, you can expand internationally without having to fully translate your entire know-how. To make the most of this potential, consider the following key elements:
What BuddyPro handles automatically
The language of AI-user conversations is automatically detected and adjusted.
What you need to localize as the creator
- Marketing and sales content: Your landing pages, emails, ads, and social media posts should match the target market's language. Start with English for global reach, but consider also Spanish, German, French, or Italian based on your target region.
- Payment systems: Stripe integration enables multi-currency international payments. FAPI is available as an alternative, mostly for CZ/SK markets.
- Client onboarding materials: Your intro videos should have at least English subtitles, and ideally voiceovers in your target languages.
- Customer support: Be prepared to offer support (technical or account-related) in English at minimum, or in the most relevant languages for your market. Don't forget to set the support email via
/setSupportEmail:{email}. - AI name and
System Prompt:- Choose a name that is internationally understandable.
- Ensure your
System Promptis written clearly and culturally appropriately for a global audience. In some cases, preparing multiple localized versions may improve user experience.
- Legal documents: Adapt your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for international compliance.
With BuddyPro's language flexibility and a thoughtful localization strategy, you can scale your expert business globally—even if your original content was created in just one language.
29.3 Setting the AI's System Message Language for YOU as the Instance Owner
By default, your AI Expert communicates system messages and admin command responses (like /help, /update, etc.) in English. If you prefer to receive these messages in another language, you can set it via:
/setLanguage:{language}
Replace {language} with the appropriate two-letter ISO code, such as:
en– Englishes– Spanishde– Germanfr– Frenchit– Italian- ... More languages

This command only affects system/admin communication between you and the AI. It does not affect how the AI speaks to end users, which is automatically determined by their language preference and behavior (see section 29.1).
