AI Credit Management

AI Credit Management: Fueling Your AI Expert's Brain

Your AI Expert needs "energy" to operate -- that energy is AI credits. Every operation it performs (processing your know-how during know-how update, generating role content during role update, and especially each response to your users) consumes a certain amount of these credits.

Credit System Principle

  • πŸ’΅ 1 AI credit = 1 USD (US dollar).
  • 🎁 With your BuddyPro license you receive initial bonus credit (its amount varies depending on the type of license purchased). This credit is intended to cover the costs of initial training of your AI (processing your know-how, generating roles) and for the first interactions with you, your testers, and first clients.
  • πŸ”„ Once you exhaust this initial credit, it is necessary to recharge it regularly so that your AI Expert can continue to function.

Setting Up Automatic AI Credit Recharge (ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL FOR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION!)

To avoid a situation where your AI Expert runs out of credits and stops responding to your (paying!) clients, it is essential to set up automatic credit recharge.

This is done with a command that you enter in the chat with your BuddyPro instance (as its owner):

/setupCredits:{topUpAmount}:{rechargeAt}
  • {topUpAmount}: Enter the dollar amount by which you want your AI credits to automatically top up when their balance falls below a certain threshold. The minimum recommended top-up amount is 250 USD.
  • {rechargeAt}: Enter the threshold (credit balance) in USD here. When your current credit balance drops below this value, the recharge process will automatically start with {topUpAmount}. The minimum recommended threshold is 100 USD.

Practical setting example:

/setupCredits:500:100

This means: when your credit balance drops to $100, automatically recharge $500.

What happens after entering the /setupCredits command?

You'll be directed to Stripe to set up a payment card. Once configured, recharges happen automatically whenever your balance hits the threshold.

πŸ’‘ Recommendation for {rechargeAt} setting: The more active users your AI Expert has, the higher your {rechargeAt} threshold value should be. This provides you with sufficient financial reserve in case the automatic payment from your card fails for some reason (e.g. card expiration, insufficient funds in the account). This gives you more time to resolve the problem before credits drop to zero.

Changing Automatic AI Credit Recharge Parameters

If you want to change the amount for automatic recharge (topUpAmount) or the threshold value (rechargeAt) in the future, use the command:

/changeCreditsTopUp:{newTopUpAmount}:{newRechargeAt}

Replace the parameters with the new desired values. Again, minimum limits apply ($250 for recharge, $100 for threshold).

How to Find Out Your Current AI Credit Balance?

The simplest way is to ask your BuddyPro instance directly in a conversational manner. Write to it for example:

"What's my current credit balance?"

Your AI should respond with the current state of your credit account in USD.

Alternatively, use the /stats command. This command will display a comprehensive statistics report where you will find the Credits line. This shows your current AI credit balance in USD.

The /stats command is the most accurate and fastest way to see not only your credits balance, but also other key metrics for your instance.

What Happens If AI Credits Run Out and Automatic Recharge Fails?

If your credit balance drops to zero (or very close to zero) and automatic recharge from your card fails for some reason, your AI Expert will stop responding to your users.

The BuddyPro platform will (as the instance owner) repeatedly alert you to this critical situation with messages in Telegram (e.g. every hour, with warning symbols) so that you resolve the problem as soon as possible (e.g. update the payment card, ensure sufficient funds in the account).

As soon as you resolve the payment problem and credits are successfully recharged, your AI Expert will start functioning normally again.

Where Can I Find an Invoice for AI Credit Recharge?

Invoices for each successful AI credit recharge (made through the Stripe payment gateway, to which the /setupCredits command directs you) should be sent to you automatically by email to the address you entered during payment. The email usually comes from Buddy.fm or Stripe and contains the invoice in PDF attachment.

If you didn't receive the invoice (check your spam folder too), please contact BuddyPro support at support@buddy.fm and request it be resent.
